It turns out Daisuke isn't a normal boy after all. All his life he has been trained by his mother to be agile and cunning and can pick almost any lock....and the reason for this?
On the morning of his 14th Birthday Daisuke wakes up and he isnt quite himself....he suddenly has the body of a 16 year old! He is the phantom thief Dark!
Now everytime he sees the girl he loves he changes into Dark! but dont worry...there is a cure! He must get Risa to love him back...but poor daisuke, things never go to plan.

New Fist Of The North Star
In the near future, Civilisation has been wiped out by a nuclear holocaust. In a world dominated by Mutants, Marauders and Tyrants, only survival matters. Sanga the callous Ruler of Last Land, One of the few civilisations in this new world, Controls what little fresh water there is and claims it is supplied by gods.
On the outskirts of Last Land lies The Village Of Freedom, because those who dwell here refuse to believe in Sanga's claims he ensures the only water they have access to is polluted and in some cases poisoned.
In this village there is healer, Sara also known as the woman of miracles, Sanga has her kidnapped, but for what purpose?
Enter Kenshiro, the sole heir to Hokuto Shin-Ken also known as The Fist Of The North Star. He travels to Last Land to rescue Sara but will he succeed and what are Sanga and his Gods up to and why do they need the woman of Miracles.

Being a fan of the original I thought this version was even better, the artwork and animeation is much improved. Kenshiro looks better and more beefed up than ever, Sanga is no weekling either. The fight scenes are much more graphic and pull no punches. I have to say my favourite part is as always the Kenshiro can kill a man just by touching his forehead and quotes "Your already dead!" at this point the blokes head will explode.
If you're a fan of the original or just like old fashioned blood shed then this is for you.
